TUI Southport Attack: Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder After Woman Dies<\/b><\/p>\n

A 28-year-old woman<\/a> has died after being attacked at a travel agents in Merseyside<\/a> where she worked.<\/p>\n

A man<\/a> has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the attack at the TUI branch in Southport on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Officers were called to Chapel Street at 1.25pm and the woman<\/a> was taken to hospital, where she later died from her injuries.<\/p>\n

A 30-year-old man<\/a> from the Southport area was detained over the incident, which is believed to be domestic related.<\/p>\n

The woman<\/a>\u2019s next of kin have been informed, police added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A police cordon has been set up around the store and forensic officers are carrying out their investigations.<\/p>\n

A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said: \u201cWe can confirm a murder investigation has been launched following an incident in Southport today.<\/p>\n

\u201cDetectives are appealing for anyone with information to contact Merseyside Police on 101 quoting log 470 of January 13 or the Crimestoppers line anonymously on 0800 555 111.\u201d<\/p>\n

A TUI spokeswoman said<\/a>: \u201cWe regret to confirm that a female<\/a> member of staff at our Southport TUI retail store tragically died in an incident today.<\/p>\n
