So, Is Lana Del Rey Being ‘Sued’ By Radiohead Over ‘Get Free’, Or Isn’t She?<\/b><\/p>\n

In a surprising (and, admittedly, fairly confusing) turn of events, Radiohead are seemingly not suing Lana Del Rey for copyright infringement after all.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last week, it was reported that the British rock group were planning a lawsuit against Lana, claiming that her recent album cut \u2018Get Free\u2019 struck a resemblance to their hit \u2018Creep\u2019 that was a little too close for comfort.<\/span><\/p>\n

As speculation grew, Lana seemingly \u201cconfirmed\u201d rumours of a \u201clawsuit\u201d, writing: \u201cA<\/span>lthough I know my song wasn\u2019t inspired by Creep, Radiohead feel it was and want 100% of the publishing – I offered up to 40 over the last few months but they will only accept 100. <\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s true about the lawsuit. Although I know my song wasn\u2019t inspired by Creep, Radiohead feel it was and want 100% of the publishing – I offered up to 40 over the last few months but they will only accept 100. Their lawyers have been relentless, so we will deal with it in court.<\/p>\n

However Radiohead\u2019s publishers, Warner\/Chappell, have now denied a lawsuit has been filed, but did say that they had been in \u201cdiscussions… with Lana\u2019s representatives\u201d since the release of her last album \u2018Lust For Life\u2019 in the summer of 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

A spokesperson told Pitchfork: \u201c<\/a><\/span>It\u2019s clear that the verses of \u2018Get Free\u2019 use musical elements found in the verses of \u2018Creep\u2019 and we\u2019ve requested that this be acknowledged in favour of all writers of \u2018Creep\u2019.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cTo set the record straight, no lawsuit has been issued and Radiohead have not said they \u2018will only accept 100%\u2019 of the publishing of \u2018Get Free\u2019.\u201d<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n
