‘The Voice’ 2018: Former Coach Paloma Faith Says Show’s Lack Of Stars Is Because They Don’t ‘Support’ Artists<\/b>
\nPaloma Faith has spoken out about her former stomping ground, \u2018The Voice\u2019, admitting she doesn\u2019t think the show is very good at looking after its talent when a series ends.<\/p>\n

Now into its seventh series, \u2018The Voice\u2019 has become infamous over the years for the fact that none of its winners or finalists have gone on to stardom after the show, particularly in comparison to its main rival, \u2018The X Factor\u2019.<\/p>\n

Former coach Paloma has now shared her take on why this might be, blaming show bosses for not looking after the talent who take part.<\/p>\n

She told The Telegraph: \u201cThere\u2019s no system in place to support the artists. It\u2019s just like, \u2018alright, we\u2019ve finished filming, off you go.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Addressing how \u2018X Factor\u2019 has been able to turn its contestants into chart-topping artists here in the UK, with a handful even achieving international success, Paloma noted: \u201c[Simon Cowell] is emotionally invested in making it work because he doesn\u2019t ever want to be defeated. I don\u2019t think there\u2019s anyone else doing that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last year, around the release of her fourth album \u2018The Architect\u2019, Paloma confessed to HuffPost UK that she\u2019d only signed up to be a coach on \u2018The Voice\u2019 for the pay cheque, commenting: \u201cI knew that I wanted to have children and I knew that I had to put some money in the bank to do that, and at the time I did it for that reason because I was trying for a baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

She then added: \u201cThe reality is that for the right price I\u2019d do pretty much most things\u2026 but if I\u2019m asked if I really enjoy it and do I want to do it, then I\u2019d rather not. If you see me on it, that means I\u2019m getting a good cheque.\u201d<\/p>\n
