Seth Meyers delivered a pitch perfect opening monologue at last night\u2019s Golden Globes, addressing sexual harassment, Donald Trump, and powerful men<\/a> in Hollywood.<\/p>\n See the full list of winners, and Oprah\u2019s speech, HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n Said Meyers:<\/p>\n For the male<\/a> nominees in the room tonight, this is the first time in three months it won\u2019t be terrifying to hear your name read out loud. \u201cDid you hear about Willem Dafoe?\u201d \u201cOh, God, no!\u201d \u201cHe was nominated.\u201d \u201cDon\u2019t do that! Don\u2019t do that.\u201d \u2026<\/p>\n \u2026They tried to get a woman<\/a> to host this show, they really did. They said, \u201cHey, how would you like to come and be judged by some of the most powerful people in Hollywood?\u201d And women<\/a> were like, \u201cHmm, well, where is it?\u201d And they said, \u201cIt\u2019s at a hotel,\u201d and long story short, I\u2019m your host tonight.<\/p>\n He took direct shots at Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey:<\/p>\n Well, I think it\u2019s time to address the elephant not in the room. Harvey Weinstein isn\u2019t here tonight. Because, well, I\u2019ve heard rumors that he\u2019s crazy and difficult to work with. But don\u2019t worry, he\u2019ll be back in 20 years when he becomes the first person ever booed during the \u201cIn Memoriam.\u201d\u00a0[boos]\u00a0<\/em>It\u2019ll sound like that.<\/p>\n Well, despite everything that happened this year, the show goes on. For example, I was happy to hear they\u2019re going to do another season of \u201cHouse of Cards.\u201d Is Christopher Plummer available for that, too? I hope he can do a Southern accent, \u2019cause Kevin Spacey sure couldn\u2019t. Oh, is that too mean? To Kevin Spacey?<\/p>\n He also attempted to get Oprah to run for president, citing his emcee role at the White House National Correspondents Dinner where Trump was humiliated and which many say was the night he decided to run:<\/p>\n Oprah Winfrey is receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award tonight. What a tremendous honor, for Cecil B. DeMille. And Oprah, while I have you, in 2011 I told some jokes about our current president at the White House Correspondents\u2019 Dinner \u2014 jokes about how he was unqualified to be president \u2014 and some have said that night convinced him to run. So if that\u2019s true, I just want to say: Oprah, you will never be president! You do not have what it takes! And Hanks! Where is Hanks? You will never be vice president! You are too mean and unrelatable.
