It\u2019s probably not wise for Trump to compare himself to Reagan when he\u2019s being accused of being mentally unfit<\/a>:<\/p>\n
Although White House doctors insisted Reagan was mentally fit, many observers at the time were concerned about his forgetfulness, and some even wondered if he was exhibiting signs of Alzheimer\u2019s in office.\u00a0 Reagan himself even admitted during a televised address on the Iran-Contra scandal that he often\u00a0had a hard time remembering things, notes The Washington Post. Reagan was diagnosed with Alzheimer\u2019s in 1994, five years after he left the White House.<\/p>\n
Reagan\u2019s youngest son, Ron,\u00a0said in his 2011 book,\u00a0My Father at 100, that he believed his dad\u00a0showed symptoms\u00a0of the confusion and forgetfulness of Alzheimer\u2019s while he was president.<\/p>\n
