‘Mary, Mel And Sue’s Big Christmas Thank You’ Has Viewers Longing For Old BBC ‘Bake Off’<\/b>
\nThere was a festive reunion for Mary Berry, Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc on Christmas Eve, as they came together on TV for the first time since leaving \u2018The Great British Bake Off\u2019 last year.<\/p>\n

The trio delighted viewers as they held their \u2018Big Christmas Thank You\u2019, which saw them come together to throw a party for the residents of a deserving community in the Welsh valleys.<\/p>\n

However, the one-off show had fans feeling nostalgic about the BBC version of \u2018Bake Off\u2019, which ended when Channel 4 snatched the rights to air it.<\/p>\n

While the new incarnation has proved to be a hit along with new additions Prue Leith, Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig, that didn\u2019t stop fans lamenting how the original stars were no longer part of the show.<\/p>\n

Taking to Twitter, many longed for their return to \u2018Bake Off\u2019:<\/p>\n

watching them makes me realise how much i miss them on #GBBO #MaryMelAndSuesBigChristmas
\nAll I want for Christmas is for bake off to go back to BBC one, and to get Mary, Mel and Sue back, and to just get rid of Paul, because no one liked him anyway #GBBO #BBC1forever<\/p>\n

As they reunited at the start of the show, Mel said to Mary:\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s so nice to see you, Bez!\u201d<\/p>\n

Since leaving \u2018Bake Off\u2019\u00a0Mel and Sue have gone on to front various projects with the BBC – both together and individually – and will be at the helm of a reboot of \u2018The Generation Game\u2019 next year.<\/p>\n

Mary has also continued to make her own cookery series for the BBC, as well as presenting \u2018Secrets From Britain\u2019s Great Houses\u2019.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Great British Bake Off\u2019s Christmas special is set to air on Christmas Day at 7.40pm on Channel 4.
