{"id":59596,"date":"2017-12-19T12:15:39","date_gmt":"2017-12-19T17:15:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gayfriendschat.com\/socialblog\/toyota-will-make-every-car-in-its-range-electric-by-2025\/"},"modified":"2017-12-19T12:15:39","modified_gmt":"2017-12-19T17:15:39","slug":"toyota-will-make-every-car-in-its-range-electric-by-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gayfriendschat.com\/socialblog\/toyota-will-make-every-car-in-its-range-electric-by-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Toyota Will Make Every Car In Its Range Electric By 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Toyota Will Make Every Car In Its Range Electric By 2025<\/b><\/p>\n<div><!-- TAG START { player: \"Huff Post UK Tech - Click to Play\", owner: \"HuffPost UK (PUB)\", for: \"HuffPost UK (PUB)\" } --><\/p>\n<div vdb_params=\"m.embeded=cms_video_plugin_uk.edit.huffpost.net&#038;m.fwkeyvalues=sponsorship%3DSPONSORSHIP_NAME&#038;m.fwsitesection=composer\" data-placeholder=\"\/\/img.vidible.tv\/prod\/2017-11\/06\/5a00883e44a64b7717432988\/5a0089eb75a8042e3266ddee_o_U_v1.jpg?w=1440&#038;h=900\"><\/div>\n<p><!-- TAG END { date: 12\/19\/17 } --><\/div>\n<p>Despite being responsible for the most famous hybrid car in history, the Prius, Toyota has been relatively quiet about its plans for going electric.<\/p>\n<p>Well now the world\u2019s second-largest car manufacturer <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.toyota.co.jp\/en\/corporate\/20353243.html\" target=\"_blank\">has announced<\/a> that by 2025, every car it makes will be available with an electric motor.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img.huffingtonpost.com\/asset\/5a3934d11600005f46cf20ed.jpeg?cache=9Rqe1hS65Q\" data-caption=\"\" alt=\"\" data-credit=\"Icon Sportswire via Getty Images\" data-portal-copyright=\"Icon Sportswire via Getty Images\" data-provider=\"getty\" data-provider-asset-id=\"642448778\" data-has-syndication-rights=\"true\"><\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s shift over to electrification comes with some sales claims including 5.5 million electrified vehicles and 1.1 zero-emission vehicles by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Now while that might sound like a lot of cars it\u2019s important to remember that in 2016 Toyota sold over 10 million vehicles, so even by 2030 they\u2019re predicting that only a little over half the cars they sell will have electric engines.<\/p>\n<p>To help shift some of those numbers Toyota\u2019s planning to have over 10 models of purely electric cars available by the early 2020s.<\/p>\n<p>This is in stark contrast to Volkswagen which has said that all 300 of the models it makes will be available with an electric motor by 2030.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img.huffingtonpost.com\/asset\/59b7e0891c0000240079dfe6.jpeg?cache=mJ7h7a9pM0\" data-caption=\"\" alt=\"\" data-credit=\"Brendan McDermid \/ Reuters\" data-portal-copyright=\"Brendan McDermid \/ Reuters\" data-provider=\"reuters\" data-provider-asset-id=\"RTX2Y5VG\" data-has-syndication-rights=\"true\"><\/p>\n<p>It is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.co.uk\/entry\/volvo-will-only-launch-cars-with-electric-motors-from-2019_uk_595cded9e4b05c37bb80fc95\" target=\"_blank\">Volvo however<\/a> that comes out ahead of the competition after it confirmed that it would be offering either fully-electric or hybrid versions of all its cars by 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Following suite was\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.co.uk\/entry\/jaguars-e-type-zero-is-a-classic-car-with-an-electric-heart_uk_59b12588e4b0b5e53103ec39\" target=\"_blank\">Jaguar Land Rover which confirmed<\/a>\u00a0it too would be offering hybrid or fully electric versions of all its cars by 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Mercedes Benz then announced this week that it would be launching fully electric or hybrid versions of all its cars by 2022.<\/p>\n<p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.co.uk\/entry\/toyota-will-make-every-car-in-its-range-electric-by-2025_uk_5a393395e4b0860bf4ab519d\" class=\"autohyperlink\">www.huffingtonpost.co.uk\/entry\/toyota-will-make-every-car-in-its-range-electric-by-2025_uk_5a393395e4b0860bf4ab519d<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Toyota Will Make Every Car In Its Range Electric By 2025 Despite being responsible for the most famous hybrid car in history, the Prius, Toyota has been relatively quiet about its plans for going electric.
