While certain \u201cChristian\u201d bakers are shunning gay<\/a> couples<\/a>, there are plenty others happy to help gay<\/a> people celebrate special occasions.<\/p>\n Like Cake and Loaf Bakery<\/a> in Hamilton, Ontario. Chris Farias had a special request for the bakers.<\/p>\n He writes<\/a>:<\/p>\n In celebrating my engagement to\u00a0Jared Lenover\u00a0<\/a>(It\u2019s been a year\u2026 8 months \u2019till the big day!!) I wanted to get him a cake to celebrate (he loves cake\u2026as do I!). So I called my local bakery,\u00a0Cake and Loaf Bakery<\/a>, and requested the GAYEST cake they could make. Without hesitation, and with much excitement, they said \u201cWe\u2019ll do it!!!\u201d<\/p>\n This is what I got. I am in tears right now I\u2019m so happy.<\/p>\n Being part of the LGBTQ+ community isn\u2019t easy for many. And that\u2019s an huge understatement. But I am proud of who I am, and how far WE have come. I am proud to be a gay<\/a> Canadian who can order a cake and not get turned down because of who I love. I love this country, and I love my community.<\/span><\/p>\n If you believe that\u00a0#LoveIsLove<\/a>, please share, and show our neighbours to the south that we support them. That we empathize with their struggles.
