‘Star Wars’ Newcomer Kelly Marie Tran Claims ‘Last Jedi’ Role May Not Change Her Life<\/b>
\nYou may not know who Kelly Marie Tran is yet, but you\u2019re about to hear a lot more of her thanks to her breakthrough role in \u2018Star Wars: The Last Jedi\u2019.<\/p>\n

However, despite now being part of one of the biggest franchises in cinema history, the actress has claimed she doesn\u2019t see her life changing to become a huge name like Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.<\/p>\n

The pair became overnight stars when they landed roles in 2015\u2032s \u2019The Force Awakens, and when asked for what advice they had given her about dealing with sudden fame, Kelly Marie told HuffPost UK at the European premiere: \u201cJohn and Daisy are both the most supportive, amazing humans I\u2019ve met in this whole experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if it\u2019s true that my life is actually going to change. Only because I went on a run earlier today and no-one knew who I was. It was great.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I feel like I\u2019m going to be Hannah Montana forever and have this double life where I make movies, but then go to the grocery store by myself. So we\u2019ll see. I\u2019ll have to let you know.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelly Marie, who is playing Rose Tico – \u00a0a member of the Resistance who works in maintenance – in \u2018The Last Jedi\u2019, also admitted it still hasn\u2019t sunk in that she is a part of the \u2018Star Wars\u2019 universe.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m still realising it right now. Honestly, I am,\u201d she said. \u201cThe last two years of my life have been a cumulation of a million impossible moments and this night is the same thing. I\u2019m still trying to believe I\u2019m in it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Turning her attention to Episode XI, Kelly added of her hopes for the film: \u201cI\u2019m hoping to continue the tradition of doing something groundbreaking in every movie.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom its inception, \u2018Star Wars\u2019 has never been afraid to take risks and that\u2019s one of the reasons why people love it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Star Wars: The Last Jedi\u2019 opens in UK cinemas from midnight on Thursday 14 December.<\/p>\n
