We must sometimes take blame. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cAlthough it\u2019s awful to say we can\u2019t make ourselves look as attractive as possible without being knocked down and raped.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>She went on to say that she believed sexual misconduct in Hollywood would now stop.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cShould <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/www.flirt4free.com\/live\/girls\/?mp_code=akftr\">women<\/a> be prepared for this? No, they shouldn\u2019t have to be,\u201d she says. \u201cThere\u2019s no excuse for that. And I think it will stop now &#8211; it will have to. I think a lot of <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/chaturbate.com\/in\/?tour=R2Xc&#38;campaign=hl4zp&#38;track=gfcsb\">men<\/a> must be very worried at this point.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/img.huffingtonpost.com\/asset\/5a1d0940140000ea16b6a19f.jpeg\" data-caption=\"Angela as Jessica Fletcher in 'Murder She Wrote'\" alt=\"Angela as Jessica Fletcher in 'Murder She Wrote'\" data-credit=\"Rex\" data-portal-copyright=\"Rex\" data-provider=\"Rex\" data-provider-asset-id=\"205899285\" data-has-syndication-rights=\"false\"><\/p>\n<p><span>Following her comments, Rape Crisis England &#038; Wales issued a strongly-worded statement (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2017\/11\/28\/angela-lansbury-attractive-women-must-sometimes-take-blame-sexual\/\" target=\"_blank\">via The Telegraph<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>It reads: \u201cIt is a deeply unhelpful myth that rape and other forms of sexual violence are caused or \u2018provoked\u2019 by <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/www.flirt4free.com\/live\/girls\/?mp_code=akftr\">women<\/a>\u2019s sexuality or \u2018attractiveness\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cRape is an act of sexual violence, power and control that has little to nothing to do with sexual desire. It is as insulting to <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/chaturbate.com\/in\/?tour=R2Xc&#38;campaign=hl4zp&#38;track=gfcsb\">men<\/a> as it is to anyone to suggest they\u2019re unable to take responsibility for their own behaviours and that the way a <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/www.flirt4free.com\/live\/girls\/?mp_code=akftr\">woman<\/a> presents herself can cause them to lose control or force them to sexually harass or assault her.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThere is no excuse or mitigation for sexual violence and there is no circumstance in which it\u2019s even partially the victim\u2019s or survivor\u2019s fault.
