Morrissey was asked by London\u2019s Sunday Times<\/em> to clarify his statement defending Kevin Spacey. Said Morrissey earlier this month to German publication Der Spiegel<\/em><\/a>:<\/p>\n \u201cAs far as I know, he was in a bedroom with a 14-year-old. Kevin Spacey was 26 and boy<\/a> 14 was wondering where the boy<\/a>\u2019s parents were. One wonders if the boy<\/a> did not know what could happen. I do not know about you, but I\u2019ve never been in situations like this in my youth. Never. I always knew what could happen. When you are in somebody\u2019s bedroom, you have to be aware of where that can lead to. That\u2019s why it does not sound very credible to me. It seems to me Spacey has been unnecessarily attacked.\u201d<\/p>\n The former Smiths frontman told The Sunday Times<\/em><\/a>:<\/p>\n \u201cYou must be careful as far as \u2018sexual harassment\u2019 is concerned because often it can be just a pathetic attempt at courtship. I\u2019m sure it\u2019s horrific, but we have to keep everything in proportion. Do you not agree?
