‘Strictly Come Dancing’: Alexandra Burke Slams ‘Sad’ Media Reports That Have Plagued Her Time On Show<\/b>
\nAlexandra Burke has slammed \u201csad\u201d media claims she has been hit with during her time on \u2018Strictly Come Dancing\u2019.<\/p>\n

The former \u2018X Factor\u2019 winner has been at the centre of various reports over the last 10 weeks, including rumours of a\u00a0feud with fellow contestant Debbie McGee and claims she and partner Gorka Marquez don\u2019t get on\u00a0behind the scenes.<\/p>\n

She admitted to being upset by suggestions she shouts at Gorka during rehearsals as those reports stemmed from a joke they both shared.<\/p>\n

Speaking to HuffPost UK, Alexandra said: \u201cWe got really upset about that as it came from the Pride of Britain and we shared something from the training room when we were having a joke and a laugh and they took it out of context. Then it\u2019s like, \u2018I\u2019m never letting you in again\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was really sad, because it made me look like a horrible person.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m telling you, every single\u00a0[report] isn\u2019t true. It\u2019s laughable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gorka agreed, adding: \u201cThe only time she screams is when she\u2019s dancing and she goes \u2018Wooooo!\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking about the so-called feud she had with Debbie, which they had already denied on Twitter, Alexandra continued:\u00a0\u201cDebbie and I were doing an interview not too long ago, just before it came out that we had a feud. When it came out, I was like \u2018Are you serious? What?!\u2019. I don\u2019t even know where it comes from.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just a shame really because, like at Blackpool, people see us having fun and having a great time, but people don\u2019t want to write that stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

Preempting some possible future headlines, Gorka also issued a warning to people not to speculate about his and Alexandra\u2019s relationship after seeing their intimate Rumba routine on Saturday (15 November) night.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe dance is very romantic and intimate and there\u2019s a lot of chemistry, but it\u2019s just dancing – don\u2019t make it into something,\u201d he said. \u201cIt is nothing. It\u2019s only for the dance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of the routine, Alexandra said it was \u201csurreal\u201d to be dancing to one of Beyonc\u00e9\u2018s songs, having duetted with her on a version of \u2018Listen\u2019 during \u2018The X Factor\u2019 final in 2008.<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cI originally asked to do the Rumba to \u2018Listen\u2019 and we couldn\u2019t do it for reasons I can\u2019t say, and it\u2019s a good reason.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a massive moment for me to have sung with her and now dance to her. I don\u2019t think people will realise how surreal that is for me to feel.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes I have to pinch myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Strictly Come Dancing\u2019 airs on Saturday and Sunday on BBC One.
