\u2018The Apprentice\u2019: 13 Things We Learnt From Speaking To This Week\u2019s Boardroom Casualties<\/b>
\nEvery week, HuffPost UK speak to the \u2018Apprentice\u2019 candidate whose time on the show has come to an end, finding out everything from whether they think Lord Sugar was fair to why they messed up in the first place.<\/p>\n

This week though, Lord Sugar indulged himself with a rarely-seen triple firing, dispatching Andrew Brady, Anisa Topan and Charles Burn from the series in one go, meaning there were three people ready to tell us where it all went wrong.<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, they did not hold back, making plenty of eyebrow statements, bold claims and (occasional) swipes at each other.<\/p>\n

Here are 13 things we learnt from speaking to the trio…<\/p>\n

1. They all have different feelings about the triple-firing<\/p>\n

While Anisa was delighted to have left the boardroom alongside two other candidates, telling us, \u2018If it was me on my own, I\u2019d have died\u2019, Andrew didn\u2019t share her sentiments. <\/p>\n

\u201cFrom a personal point of view, I think I deserved to go further than Charles and Anisa so it\u2019s bittersweet,\u201d he said. \u201cBoth of them should have gone beforehand, then I would have got my own show on \u2018You\u2019re Fired!\u2019. But it is what it is.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought I might be ok, but obviously, wasn\u2019t,\u201d Charles said of being fired last.<\/p>\n

2. Andrew also wishes he\u2019d quit before he was fired<\/p>\n

\u201cI probably should have gone out in a blaze of glory and maybe quit before he fired me, maybe that would have been more interesting,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n

3. After becoming the first one out, Andrew was in earshot as Charles and Anisa were dispatched<\/p>\n

\u201cI was being babysat by someone on the production team to make sure I didn\u2019t make any noise but I was sat just outside,\u201d he told us.<\/p>\n

4. Charles didn\u2019t think the other team\u2019s win was very impressive<\/p>\n

Claiming they \u201cwon by accident\u201d, rather than with strong business tactics, he said: \u201cIt was a dubious win. It wasn\u2019t very emphatic. No-one stood out as being exceptional.\u201d<\/p>\n

5. One of them thought it was their time to go<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d have loved to have gone further but I think it was my time,\u201d she admitted. \u201cWhat an amazing achievement to get to week eight.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Sarah should have been brought in, instead of Anisa, based on the task,\u201d he conceded. |\u201d didn\u2019t think Anisa did a huge amount wrong if I\u2019m honest with you… but she flaps an awful lot and she can\u2019t deal with the pressure.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Andrew had been more to the point and said \u2018Sarah was responsible for xyz\u2019 rather than try to blame me, maybe I\u2019d have made a different decision.\u201d<\/p>\n

7. Andrew isn\u2019t planning to stop his \u2018laddish\u2019 behaviour<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t see it as a criticism,\u201d he said of Lord Sugar\u2019s comments. \u201cI think it\u2019s based on the industries that he\u2019s in and how he expects people to behave in them, and they\u2019re not my industries. They\u2019re boardroom, lawyer-esque, professional ones.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m more fun, day-to-day. Maybe I need to apply myself in a professional way in some areas. Who would you rather work for, me or Lord Sugar? If you had to work with one and go to the pub, who would you rather go with?\u201d<\/p>\n

We declined to answer his question.<\/p>\n

8. Charles claims he did more work than it seemed<\/p>\n

\u201cThey didn\u2019t show me getting involved with the dogs because it didn\u2019t fit with the story,\u201d he said. \u201cI was helping out as and when, and doing different things. They made me look like I wasn\u2019t doing a lot, which isn\u2019t necessarily the case. \u201c<\/p>\n

9. The girls<\/a>\u2019 bickering was as bad as it looked<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was not easy,\u201d Anisa said of the early weeks. \u201cI\u2019m a peacemaker, I\u2019m not the arguer so I would be there in the house trying to make everyone get on with each other again. It was very difficult.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was hard enough, being there in the process without all of that. That pressure magnifies all of our worst or most irritating characteristics.\u201d<\/p>\n

10. There\u2019s no love lost between Charles and Andrew<\/p>\n

After suggesting team leader Charles put him in charge of the sub-team so he\u2019d someone to blame, Andrew said of his former fellow candidate: \u201cHe should have gone in the first week. I didn\u2019t make any secret of the fact we didn\u2019t get on.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve got respect for him in some ways but yeah, we\u2019re chalk and cheese.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s quick to point out what everyone didn\u2019t do, but not what he did do,\u201d Charles hit back. \u201cThat, to me, shows weakness. I thought he would be a good man<\/a> for the [sub-team leader] job.\u201d<\/p>\n

11. One of them compared leaving the show to euthanising a pet<\/p>\n

Yes, it was Andrew. \u201cMaybe you\u2019ve got a sick dog and it\u2019s dying, but you don\u2019t know when it\u2019s going to happen,\u201d he mused. \u201cBut when it happens or it gets put down, there\u2019s relief in a bittersweet kind of way. It\u2019s like that, I\u2019d say.\u201d<\/p>\n

12. The boys<\/a> didn\u2019t expect James and Harrison to make it this far<\/p>\n

\u201cI think I was better than most of them, I\u2019m not going to lie. Not in an arrogant way either, I think I just brought more to the table,\u201d Andrew said. \u201cHarrison is two pears short of a fruit bowl. Some of the stuff he comes out with\u2026 But he\u2019s a nice guy<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI definitely thought I\u2019d be in there. I applied to win, I wasn\u2019t there to make up the numbers,\u201d Charles added.<\/p>\n

13. Anisa post-\u2019Apprentice\u2019 plan wins<\/p>\n

\u201cOh my god, babe. I\u2019m taking a holiday,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019ll have a lovely Christmas and recalibrate to get my thoughts together.\u201d<\/p>\n
