Ridley Scott\u2019s All The Money in the World<\/em>\u00a0starring Kevin Spacey, Michelle Williams, and Mark Wahlberg is in the can and due for release in six weeks but\u00a0Scott and producers from Imperative Entertainment, with the full support of Sony Pictures, has decided to cut Spacey from the film and reshoot all his scenes with Christopher Plummer.<\/p>\n

The decision was made as as sexual assault and harassment allegations continue to mount against Spacey.<\/p>\n

The film is based on the 1973 abduction of John Paul Getty III. Spacey played Getty\u2019s billionaire grandfather in the movie, donning extensive prosthetic makeup for the role.<\/p>\n

The recast comes just one day after Sony and TriStar decided to pull the film from the AFI Festival\u2019s prestigious closing night spot.<\/p>\n

In a statement provided Tuesday that confirmed the film\u2019s exit from AFI due to the allegations regarding Spacey, TriStar Pictures called \u201cAll the Money in the World\u201d a \u201csuperb film\u201d that was \u201cmore than worthy of its place of honor in the AFI Fest.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are over 800 other actors, writers, artists, craftspeople and crew who worked tirelessly and ethically on this film, some for years, including one of cinema\u2019s master directors,\u201d TriStar\u2019s statement added. \u201cIt would be a gross injustice to punish all of them for the wrongdoings of one supporting actor in the film.\u201d<\/p>\n

The latest allegations against Spacey came yesterday from former Boston TV news anchor Heather Unruh<\/a>, who said Spacey sexually assaulted her teen<\/a> son on Nantucket in 2016.<\/p>\n

An\u00a0allegation against Spacey by actor Anthony Rapp<\/a>\u00a0snowballed into an avalanche of similar accusations including filmmaker Tony Montana, who said that Spacey\u00a0groped him in public<\/a>\u00a0in 2003, and the actor\u00a0Roberto Cavazos<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That was followed by an as yet unnamed man<\/a>\u00a0who claimed Spacey raped him at 15<\/a>, and\u00a08 crew members on\u00a0House of Cards<\/em><\/a>\u00a0who said they were harassed by Spacey as well as a London bartender who said\u00a0Spacey flashed him and then tried to shut him up<\/a>\u00a0with an expensive watch.<\/p>\n

Spacey was also\u00a0dumped by his agency, CAA, his publicist Polaris,\u00a0<\/a>and also by Netflix<\/a>.<\/p>\n
