The Netflix Kevin Spacey relationship is over. The network has cut its ties with the House of Cards<\/em> actor amid an avalanche of sexual abuse and harassment allegations.<\/p>\n

USA Today posted a statement from the network<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cNetflix will not be involved with any further production of\u00a0House of Cards<\/em>\u00a0that includes Kevin Spacey. We will continue to work with (producer Media Rights Capital) during this hiatus time to evaluate our path forward as it relates to the show.\u00a0We have also decided we will not be moving forward with the release of the film\u00a0Gore<\/em>, which was in post-production, starring and produced by Kevin Spacey.\u201d<\/p>\n

MRC\u2019s statement said:\u00a0\u201cWhile we continue the ongoing investigation into the serious allegations concerning Kevin Spacey\u2019s behavior on the set of\u00a0House of Cards<\/em>, he has been suspended, effective immediately. MRC, in partnership with Netflix, will continue to evaluate a creative path forward for the program during the hiatus.\u201d<\/p>\n

An\u00a0allegation against Spacey by actor Anthony Rapp<\/a>\u00a0last week snowballed into an avalanche of similar allegations including filmmaker Tony Montana, who said that Spacey\u00a0groped him in public<\/a>\u00a0in 2003, and the actor\u00a0Roberto Cavazos<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That was followed by an as yet unnamed man<\/a>\u00a0who claimed Spacey raped him at 15<\/a>, and\u00a08 crew members on\u00a0House of Cards<\/em><\/a>\u00a0who said they were harassed by Spacey as well as a London bartender who said\u00a0Spacey flashed him and then tried to shut him up<\/a>\u00a0with an expensive watch.<\/p>\n

Spacey was also dumped by his agency, CAA, and his publicist Polaris<\/a>.<\/p>\n
