Hook-up app Jack<\/span>\u2018d<\/span>, which is geared toward gay<\/a>\u00a0urban\u00a0millennials, urged its members this week to be \u201cthe generation that ends racism\u201d and came for the biggest competitor in the field: Grindr.<\/p>\n In a new video<\/a> titled \u201cThe Generation That Ends Racism,\u201d Jack\u2019d blasts Grindr for allowing users to post discriminatory and racist preferences like \u201cno fats, no femmes\u201d and \u201cNo blacks, no Asians\u201d on its platform.<\/p>\n Said Alon Rivel, the Director of Global Marketing at\u00a0Jack<\/span>\u2019d:\u00a0<\/span>\u201cWe have a zero tolerance policy for racism on\u00a0Jack<\/span>\u2019d<\/span>. We encourage members being discriminated against or harassed to report it to our customer service department.\u00a0 If we find the allegations to be true, we\u00a0 will\u00a0 immediately delete the profile of the offending member regardless if they are a paid member or not.\u00a0 Our members\u2019 comfort and safety will always trump making money.\u201d<\/p>\n Apps like Grindr need to take responsibility, added Rivel: \u201cThere is a difference between being attracted to certain characteristics of a man<\/a> and spewing hate and\/or attacking others for their religion or the color of their skin.
