It\u2019s a big promise, but now it\u2019s out there.<\/p>\n
Chris Hemsworth and\u00a0Thor: Ragnarok<\/em> director Taika Waititi gave an interview to\u00a0Yahoo Entertainment\u2019s Kevin Polowy in which they were asked if the hulking Australian actor had it in his contract to remove the shirt.<\/p>\n Said Hemsworth:\u00a0\u201cIn the very first\u00a0Thor<\/em>, I\u2019d be training for months and months and months and\u00a0Kenneth Branagh\u00a0said \u2018aww, what do you think about a shirt off scene?\u2019 I said \u2018mate I\u2019ve been killing myself in the gym for eight months! I\u2019m ready. Let\u2019s go.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n But Hemsworth said he was relieved there was no shirtless scene in the Thor: Ragnarok script, until he spoke with Waititi.<\/p>\n \u201cI said Chris you have to take your shirt off,\u201d explained Waititi. \u201cDo you want bums on seats?\u201d<\/p>\n Joked Waititi: \u201cI would say that on the DVD you can expect an extra DVD of just that. An entire disk. Four hours of him \u2013 slow motion, black and white, black and chrome, full color\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n We can hope.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Incidentally, most reviews that have come out about the film note how funny it is.<\/p>\n Writes Gizmodo<\/a>:<\/p>\n There\u2019s only one problem with the film being so funny and such a spectacle, though: The laughter and grandeur overshadows almost everything else.\u00a0Ragnarok\u00a0<\/em>is missing the emotional core that has elevated many other Marvel films. The jokes and set pieces come at you so often that there\u2019s barely a moment for you to feel anything else.
