Last month we reported on Jeff Mateer<\/a>, Donald Trump\u2019s nominee to become a district judge in Texas.<\/p>\n Mateer has warned that gay<\/a> marriage will lead to bestiality, has pushed for gay<\/a> conversion therapy and suggested transgender children are evidence \u201cof Satan\u2019s plan.\u201d<\/p>\n Mateer also invoked Nazi Germany<\/a> to describe the treatment of Christians in the United States.<\/p>\n Now, VICE News has compiled remarks from two speeches given by Mateer into a hideous 4 and a half minute diatribe which includes statements about how prayer meetings need to happen at the Department of Justice, how diversity training is \u201cbrainwashing\u201d and \u201creprogramming\u201d, the the \u201cseparation of church and state\u201d is nowhere in the Constitution, that Mateer wishes he could eat every meal at Chick-fil-A, how the Supreme Court needs Evangelical Christians, that \u201chonest conviction\u201d allows employers to discriminate, that gay<\/a> marriage is unconstitutional, that churches should be able to endorse candidates, that LGBTQ-friendly workplaces force Christians to approve of their policies, and that gay<\/a> marriage is a \u201cchallenge\u201d for Christians.<\/p>\n Mateer openly admits he discriminates against gay<\/a> people:<\/p>\n Said Mateer in a portion of the remarks: \u201c\u201cGuess what? I attend a conservative Baptist church. We discriminate, alright. On the basis of sexual orientation, we discriminate.\u00a0Does that mean I can\u2019t be a judge?
