Air Force Academy Superintendent\u00a0Lt. Gen. Jay Silveria responded with force and outrage after a racist message (\u201cGo Home N-word\u201d) was left on the message boards of five black cadet candidates for the Air Force Academy Preparatory School.<\/p>\n

His message is going viral on social media for good reason.<\/p>\n

\u201cReach for your phones,\u201d said Silveria:<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re outraged by those words, then you\u2019re in the right place. That kind of behavior has no place at the Prep School\u2026It\u2019s the power that we come from all walks of life, that we come from all parts of this country, that we come from all races, that we come from all backgrounds, gender, all make-up, all upbringing\u2026The power of that diversity comes together and makes us that much more powerful\u2026.If you can\u2019t treat someone from another gender, whether that\u2019s a man<\/a> or a woman<\/a>, with dignity and respect, then you need to get out.\u00a0If you demean someone in any way, then you need to get out. And if you can\u2019t treat someone from another race or a different color skin with dignity and respect, then you need to get out\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
