NEW YORK<\/strong> \u2013 GLAAD, the world\u2019s largest LGBTQ media advocacy organization, today called on media outlets covering the Alabama U.S. Senate race to include information on Republican candidate Roy Moore\u2019s extensive anti-LGBTQ record as a public figure in Alabama politics.<\/p>\n

Moore has a long and deeply troubling history of pushing anti-LGBTQ ideology. From attacking<\/a> the trans<\/a> community, repeatedly<\/a> insisting<\/a> that \u201chomosexuality should be illegal\u201d \u2013 which GLAAD unearthed first and helped place with CNN\u2019s K-File<\/a> \u2013 to comparing<\/a> marriage equality to counterfeit money, Moore has stopped at nothing to harm LGBTQ Alabamians. GLAAD has compiled a list of Moore\u2019s anti-LGBTQ record for media including links to actual statements.<\/p>\n
