Some Good News from Key West: Island House is \u2018Safe and Sound\u2019<\/b><\/p>\n

Key West\u2019s Island House resort<\/a> has been a longtime supporter of the work we do here at Towleroad, so we were very concerned about how they would emerge after Hurricane Irma left a path of destruction through the Florida Keys.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s lovely to hear some good news from them, which we got yesterday in a press release:<\/p>\n

Feeling humbled by our good luck, we\u2019re happy to announce that the Island House, and the island of Key West, are safe and sound after Hurricane Irma. The outpouring of concern and support we\u2019ve received has sustained us through all of this, and we cannot thank our friends and guests enough for their caring sentiments. With a few days of tree cleanup, a top-to-bottom spray wash of our buildings, and the safe return of or beloved staff, Island House will be good as new to welcome back our guests.<\/p>\n

As was announced by Monroe County officials, Key West will \u2018officially\u2019 be open for tourists again by\u00a0October 20th<\/span><\/span>. At that time, our guests can expect the full Island House experience to be at their fingertips, and to enjoy the quintessential Key West vacation.\u00a0 If you have a reservation for arrival after\u00a0October 20<\/span><\/span>, you can assume that it is secure and you can plan accordingly. If you have a reservation scheduled to arrive prior to\u00a0October 20th<\/span><\/span>, we ask that you call<\/a> us directly for additional information. We can catch you up on all of the progress that has been made in Key West, and what you can expect as far as amenities and activities that will be available at that time. And, if you had a trip cancelled because we were closed, please call<\/a> us so we can talk about options for you to rebook your trip.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

Rest assured, Island House is alive and well, and we are thrilled to be able to get back to doing what we do best!\u00a0 Including amidst other things, endless sunshine, cool cocktails, palm trees, water and of course, the fun loving boyz of Island House.<\/p>\n
