<\/a><\/p>\nJohn Oliver returned from several weeks away on HBO\u2019s Last Week Tonight<\/em> and got caught up on all the stuff Trump\u2019s been up to since he\u2019s been away, including his deal with Democrats on the debt ceiling, and his creepy note to North Dakotans that Ivanka calls<\/a> him \u201cdaddy.\u201d<\/p>\n Said Oliver:<\/p>\n \u201cHis 35-year-old daughter calls<\/a> him \u2018Daddy\u2019 and he likes it. That is just one of those facts that on some level I already knew I just never wanted to have confirmed. It\u2019s like when someone AirBnbs your place they literally ejaculate on everything or, if I was there for the Manson murders, I probably would have stabbed someone. I\u2019m not good with peer pressure.\u201d<\/p>\n Oliver also commented on Trump\u2019s decision to end the Deferred Admissions for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) immigration policy, and then his statement that he\u2019d revisit the decision:<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s all over the place. Dreamers have to go. Or maybe they can come back. Or maybe they don\u2019t have to go at all. And in the meantime, 800,000 people\u2019s lives are in the balance\u2026.It is actually really ironic that he is taking such a hard line against Dreamers. Because this guy<\/a> is clearly out of his f**king mind.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Watch:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Oliver later laid into Trump\u2019s pardon of Sheriff Joe Arpaio.<\/p>\n The Week reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n He ran though Arpaio\u2019s inhumane, even deadly, treatment of inmates at his jails \u2014 not even prisons \u2014 and his selective application of law enforcement. It wasn\u2019t until more than 10 minutes into the 14-minute segment that Oliver even brought up the reason Arpaio needed Trump\u2019s pardon: obstruction of justice stemming from racial profiling.<\/p>\n Unlike Trump\u2019s stated rationale for pardoning Arpaio, \u201che was not \u2018just doing his job,\u2019 Oliver said. \u201cHe was also doing something illegal.
