This Sunday, MTV will air their 2017 Video Music awards. This is the first year that MTV made all the categories for the VMAs non-gendered, and have changed the name of the iconic trophy from Moon Man to Moon Person.\u00a0Nominees for videos<\/a> from\u00a0LGBTQ artists include rapper Young M.A. in Best New Artist,\u00a0Fifth Harmony in\u00a0Best Pop and Best Choreography,\u00a0Sia in\u00a0Best Choreography, Halsey in\u00a0Best Cinematography, and Miley Cyrus for Best Pop. Don’t forget to tune in for the pre-show to see\u00a0GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis walking the red carpet alongside\u00a0transgender service members Sterling James Crutcher, Logan Ireland, Jennifer Peace, and Akira Wyatt, and trans<\/a> veterans Laila Ireland and Brynn Tannehill.\u00a0SPARTA, an LGBTQ service members and veterans group, and\u00a0LGBTQ philanthropist and fashion designer August Getty will also be walking.
