<\/a><\/p>\nThree House Representatives are being sued for displaying a rainbow flag<\/a> outside of their Capitol Hill offices.<\/span><\/p>\n The plaintiff in the case is <\/span>Chris Sevier<\/b><\/a> who in 2014 made headlines by trying to marry his laptop to highlight his opposition to same-sex<\/a> marriage.<\/span><\/p>\n Sevier\u2019s suit argues that \u201c\u2018homosexuality\u2019 and other forms of self-asserted sex<\/a>-based identity narratives are a \u2018religion\u2019\u201d and rainbow flags are a religious symbol for the \u201chomosexual denomination.\u201d He has also suggested that the lawmakers who displayed the flag should be removed from office.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe Defendants,\u201d he said, \u201cknow or should know that they are advancing a threat to Democracy\u2026to the point that they are unfit to hold office and should be removed for cause for representing an internalized danger to National Security interests.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n However, Democratic Rep. Susan Davis (right), who has been named in the lawsuit, said that the legal action has encouraged her to continue her work on equal rights for members of the LGBTQ community. She added that the rainbow flag, which has been on display since 2015, will not be removed.<\/span><\/p>\n The other lawmakers \u2013 all Democrats \u2013 named in the suit are Alan Lowenthal of Long Beach, Don Beyer of Virginia and Earl Blumenauer of Oregon.<\/span><\/p>\n Watch David Pakman on Sevier\u2019s attempt to marry his laptop below.<\/p>\n (Chris Sevier image via YouTube<\/a>.
