GLAAD is proud to be\u00a0a community collaborator again this year at Outfest<\/a>, the premiere Los Angeles LGBTQ+ film festival!\u00a0This year, GLAAD is collaborating with Outfest to screen the film Saturday Church<\/em> (dir. Damon Cardasis).<\/p>\n

\"\"Saturday Church<\/em> is the latest film from debuting director and writer Damon Cardasis, who was previously a producer for Maggie\u2019s Plan<\/em> (dir. Rebecca Miller). The film is a coming of age story centered on Ulysses (Luka Kain), a Bronx teen<\/a> who finds refuge at a welcoming church in the West Village where “vogueing is more important than any sermon.”\u00a0Saturday Church<\/em> is a mini-musical that uses music and dance to follow Ulysses\u2019 exploration of his own sexuality and gender identity. The screening of Saturday Church<\/em> will take place on July 8th at 9:30 p.m. at the Director\u2019s Guild of America in Los Angeles. RSVP to the Facebook event for the screening here!<\/a><\/p>\n
