For Pride Month, AT&T\u2019s Live Proud campaign\u00a0is celebrating living authentically and unapologetic self-expression. This year’s theme “We Are Bold” encourages\u00a0the LGBTQ community and allies to share messages of freedom, confidence, and unity.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Laith De La Cruz, Isis King, and Arisce Wanzer\u00a0have taken part in the campaign with a series of photos captured by Adam Bouska.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

All three models starred the reality series Strut<\/em><\/strong>, which aired\u00a0on Oxygen and was produced by Whoopi Goldberg.\u00a0Strut followed\u00a0the lives of five transgender models as they work to cement a career in fashion while also boldly fighting to break down barriers in the modeling industry and gain visibility for the transgender community at large.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

The show, its cast, and the progress they have already made were recognized at this year\u2019s 28th<\/sup> Annual GLAAD Media Awards, taking home the award for Outstanding Reality Program. Particularly in the current social and political climate, giving a platform for transgender people and other marginalized groups\u00a0is more vital than ever and Strut goes far in paving the way for more responsible and thoughtful depictions of the transgender community. \u00a0Model and actress\u00a0Isis King, who recently appeared on Shameless, stresses the need for \u201crepresentation for transgender people, especially trans<\/a> people of color\u201d in her acceptance speech below.\u00a0<\/p>\n
