Almost ten years ago to the day, on the very same day, two photographs were taken.<\/p>\n

Him. Her.<\/p>\n

Two sides of the same person? Two different people? Perhaps the answer matters less than the question.<\/p>\n

What I do know is this: I am immensely proud of both of them \u2014 of who I was, who I became, and of having the courage to be both.<\/p>\n

Some things don’t need explaining. xx<\/p>\n

I play the role as all demand
\nA stranger in a stranger land
\nI learned it well for them to see
\nI studied them so I could be
\nLearned to boast and I bragged
\nLied about the girls<\/a> I shagged
\nWent in the army just to see
\nIf they could make a man<\/a> of me
\nMarriage made it look so real
\nAnd having kids , I clinched the deal<\/i><\/p>\n

So pardon me if on occasion
\nA part of me does need raisin’
\nSilky hose and heels so high
\nA dab of perfume on my thigh
\nA sexy top and short , short skirt
\nAll made up to be a flirt
\nA few short hours is all i ask
\nThen i will do my manly task
\nA partly party girl<\/a> I’ll be
\nShe needs that time for she is me<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n
