Chechnya Jailers Tell Families: \u2018Kill Your Gay Children or We\u2019ll Do It For You\u2019 \u2013 VIDEO<\/b><\/p>\n

The news out of Chechnya<\/a> becomes more horrifying by the day as it has been revealed that parents are being told to kill their gay<\/a> children before the state gets to them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last month, Russian journalists revealed <\/span>details<\/b><\/a> of six known prisons for gay<\/a> men<\/a> in Chechnya. Chechen President <\/span>Ramzan Kadyrov<\/b><\/a> (above) has told Vladimir Putin<\/a> that concentration camps do not exist. The Russian leader, say those <\/span>who have escaped<\/b><\/a>, has taken Kadyrov at his word but knows full well what it happening in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last week it was reported that Kadyrov intends to <\/span>eliminate the gay community<\/b><\/a> by the end of this month.<\/span><\/p>\n

One survivor of the secret prisons\u00a0told <\/span>France24<\/b><\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThey tell the parents to kill their child. They say, \u2018Either you do it, or we will.\u2019 They call<\/a> it \u2018cleaning your honor with blood.\u2019\u00a0<\/span>They tortured a man<\/a> for two weeks [then] they summoned his parents and brothers who all came.\u00a0<\/span>The authorities said to them: \u2018Your son is a homosexual \u2013 sort it out or we\u2019ll do it ourselves.\u2019 They replied: \u2018It\u2019s our family. We\u2019ll do it. The family took him and killed him in the forest\u2026They buried him there. They didn\u2019t even give him a funeral. If I go home, my own family will kill me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Marco<\/a>News of the abduction and torture of gay<\/a> men<\/a> in Chechnya has drawn concern from lawmakers and LGBT activists worldwide. Advocacy groups in Canada <\/span>have called for emergency visas to be issued<\/b><\/a>. Earlier this week, German chancellor Angela Merkel <\/span>urged Putin<\/b><\/a> to react to reports of the\u00a0ongoing crackdown.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last week, <\/span>Senator Marco Rubio said<\/b><\/a> \u201cwe should never, ever tolerate human rights violations against any person for their political views, their religious beliefs, or their sexual orientation.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
