GLAAD: Possible anti-LGBTQ executive order is nothing more than a “License to Discriminate”<\/b><\/p>\n

Sarah Kate Ellis, President and CEO of GLAAD \u2013 the world\u2019s largest LGBTQ media advocacy organization, issued the following statement after Politico<\/a> reported the Trump Administration could sign an executive order that would use \u201creligious freedom\u201d as a way to permit open discrimination against LGBTQ Americans across the nation. Reports cite that this executive order is not \u201cdialed back much \u2013 if at all\u201d compared to the draft order leaked<\/a> to the media last February.<\/p>\n

“If this possible executive order is similar to February\u2019s draft, it would do nothing except give a national license to discriminate, and endanger LGBTQ people and their families. President Trump is trying to create an America where my children could be turned away if a pediatrician doesn\u2019t accept my wife and me. Nothing could be more un-American.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
