Since the moment Donald Trump won the 2016 election, GLAAD\u2019s main priority has been to hold the incoming administration accountable on any potential anti-LGBTQ policies it may try to enforce. This is why GLAAD created the Trump Accountability Project<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The country is now 100 days in a Trump presidency, and GLAAD sure has been busy.<\/p>\n

From erasing any mentions of LGBTQ Americans from government websites to deleting LGBTQ people from the upcoming 2020 U.S. Census, Donald Trump and his administration have proven to us that they are no friends of LGBTQ Americans and in fact are trying to remove us from the fabric of this nation.<\/p>\n

But as the Trump Administration tries to erase LGBTQ Americans, GLAAD and the LGBTQ community have fought back. Here\u2019s how:<\/p>\n

  1. Minutes after Donald Trump is sworn in as President, the administration apparently found it priority to remove\u00a0“LGBTQ” from its entire website.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. GLAAD has spoken out loudly in the press after President Trump nominated what is one of the most anti-LGBTQ cabinets in recent memory<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. GLAAD exposed and blasted<\/a> Neil Gorsuch\u2019s past anti-LGBTQ rulings as Donald Trump nominated him to be the next United States Supreme Court Associate Justice.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. GLAAD leaked Trump\u2019s secret plan to use religion to discriminate against LGBTQ Americans to ABC News<\/a>, causing the administration to retract the executive order.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. GLAAD hit back on the Trump Administration\u2019s attempt to erase LGBTQ Americans from the fabric of this nation. This includes the removal from the 2020 U.S. Census<\/a> and the elimination of LGBTQ seniors<\/a> from medical surveys.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

Hearing reports of attacks on LGBTQ men<\/a> and possible concentration camps created by Russian-controlled Chechnya, GLAAD executed a social media<\/a> campaign calling on the Trump Administration, including United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley<\/a>, to condemn these horrific reports.\n

              She did<\/a>.<\/p>\n

              <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              1. GLAAD unearthed unedited and unaltered audio, which revealed Mark Green, Trump nominee to be the next Army Secretary, called transgender Americans an \u201cevil\u201d that must be \u201ccrushed<\/a>.\u201d\n

                After a week of bad press, Mark Green did an about face and came out in support of LGBTQ equality<\/a> in the armed forces.<\/p>\n

                GLAAD and the LGBTQ community have been successful in calling out President Trump and his administration when they have tried to erase us from our nation, but there\u2019s still more to do. There are at least three years, nine months left of a Trump Administration.
