English synthpop duo\u00a0Hurts\u00a0used their latest music video<\/a>, for their new single\u00a0\u201cBeautiful Ones,\u201d to shine a visceral light on anti-LGBT violence.<\/p>\n The video<\/a>, depicting an\u00a0assault in reverse, opens on frontman Theo Hutchcraft bloodied and nearly naked<\/a>, having just mowed down a trio of men<\/a> with a stolen car.<\/p>\n As the video<\/a> continues, you learn that Hutchcraft, who plays a gender-bending man<\/a> about town, was beaten, bloodied and left on the street by the trio. Viewers watch helplessly as Hutchcraft is attacked, undressed and chased down, in that order (remember it\u2019s in reverse).<\/p>\n Hutchcraft\u2019s character, mere moments before being ganged up on, was dancing with other queer partiers among falling glitter and a disco ball.
