1)\u00a0Netflix has picked up the rights for Loev<\/em>.<\/a> The film follows two friends who share a complicated past, one a Wall Street broker and one a Mumbai-based music producer,\u00a0as they reconnect and engage in a weekend road trip in India that leads to anunexpected love. The film will premiere worldwide on Netflix on May 1.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

2) A new clip for the film The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson<\/em> has been released<\/a>. Johnson was an LGBTQ activist who founded STAR with Sylvia Rivera. Marsha was one of numerous trans<\/a> advocates involved in the Stonewall riots of 1969. Despite such contribution to the historic events, many groups of the era excluded the trans<\/a> community from their efforts, which left Marsha both frustrated with the state of the movement and further determined to work on behalf of her trans<\/a> peers. The film makes its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival this Friday. Watch the clip below.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

3) The London production of\u00a0Angels in America<\/em> is coming to U.S. theaters<\/a>. The National Theatre’s production of the play starring Andrew Garfield, Russell Tovey, and Nathan Lane will be screened this summer. The first part of the play will be shown\u00a0July 20th, and the second part can be seen July 27th. The play will be filmed live<\/a> each day. \"\"4)\u00a0The Ellen DeGeneres Show<\/em> is planning a special tribute to the 20th<\/sup> anniversary of Ellen<\/em>\u2019s coming out episode<\/a>. The hour long talk episode will air on April 28th<\/sup>. The original episode aired April 30th<\/sup>, 1997 and was titled, \u201cThe Puppy Episode.\u201d Celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Laura Dern, Joely Fisher, Clea Lewis, and David Anthony Higgins are all expected to appear. Additionally, the episode will feature messages from various other celebrities and fans sharing how the episode and Ellen’s real life coming out story impacted their lives and the community.<\/p>\n

5)\u00a0A new trailer for season three of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt<\/em> has been released<\/a> by Netflix. The new trailer shows Kimmy, who recently completed her GED, ready to take on college. Lillian and Titus, on the other hand, are experiencing relationship troubles. Titus decides to take\u00a0his frustrations out Lemonade<\/em> style. The third season will premiere April 28th<\/sup>. Check out the trailer below.\u00a0Jane Lynch is also set to host National Geographic Channel\u2019s Earth Live<\/em><\/a>. The special will air Saturday July 9,\u00a0<\/span>and will be a two-hour live<\/a> broadcast. Freeform’s Shadowhunters<\/em> has been renewed<\/a> for a third season, the series returns for the latter half of season two on June 5. TV Land’s Younger <\/em>has also been renewed<\/a>, the fifth season will premiere in 2018.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

6) Marvel’s new TV series New Warriors<\/em> has announced five more heroes that are joining the show<\/a>. One of those heroes is Deborah Fields (a.k.a. Debrii). Fields is a trickster with low-level telekinetic powers, and\u00a0is an out lesbian<\/a>. The series is scheduled to premiere 2018 on Freeform.\u00a0In other TV news, Fear the Walking Dead<\/em> has been renewed for a fourth season<\/a>\u00a0ahead of the season three\u00a0premiere, scheduled for June 4th<\/sup> on AMC. Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen<\/em><\/a> is\u00a0headed to Hollywood for a week starting May 21st. The show will be filmed at the Palace Theater. Out actor\u00a0Denis O’Hare will also be joining the Netflix drama Private Life<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"7)\u00a0The cover for Chris Colfer\u2019s last The Land of Stories <\/em>book has been revealed<\/a>. The final book is titled The Land of Stories: Worlds Collide<\/em>. Colfer has said that\u00a0Worlds Collide <\/em>has been the most difficult for him to write. “Not only was I pushing myself to meet readers\u2019 expectations, I also began grieving the series\u2019 conclusion at the prologue. I\u2019ve been lucky to wear many creative hats in my career, but being an author of a popular book series has been the most rewarding experience of my life,” he said.\u00a0The Land of Stories: Worlds Collide <\/em>will be available July 11th<\/sup> and\u00a0you can preorder it here<\/a>. 8) Giants<\/em> has launched an Indiegogo campaign to fund\u00a0season two of the webseries<\/a>. The show is described as a series that, “reflects the black millennial experience and speaks on a variety of social issues that are often stigmatized, trivialized or overlooked all together.” Jussie Smollett (Empire<\/em>) is an executive producer of the show, which stars James Bland.
