White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer is under fire for remarks he made at today\u2019s press briefing comparing Syrian President Bashar al Assad to Adolf Hitler.<\/p>\n

Said Spicer:\u00a0\u201cHitler didn\u2019t even sink to using chemical weapons.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spicer later clarified his remarks in a statement:<\/p>\n

\u201cIn no way was I trying to lessen the horrendous nature of the Holocaust. However, I was trying to draw a contrast of the tactic of using airplanes to drop chemical weapons on innocent people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reaction to Spicer\u2019s comments came quickly:<\/p>\n
