\"\"Freeform\u2019s Shadowhunters <\/em>took home the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Drama Series at the 28th<\/sup>\u00a0Annual GLAAD \u00a0Media Awards at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Saturday. Stars Harry Shum Jr. and Matthew Daddario accepted the award, which was presented by actor and previous Vanguard Award recipient Josh Hutcherson.<\/p>\n

Shadowhunters<\/em>, which features a relationship between gay<\/a> shadowhunter Alec (Matthew Daddario) and bisexual<\/a> warlock Magnus (Harry Shum Jr), stands out for its inclusion of a bisexual<\/a> male<\/a> in a central role when so few are seen on television. The drama, <\/em>an adaptation of The Mortal Instruments<\/em> series by Cassandra Clare, tells the story of a teenage<\/a> girl<\/a> thrown into a world of demons, magic, and magical creatures. \u00a0<\/p>\n
