On December 20, I dolled myself up and drove (in chilly air) to the Alliant Energy Center’s Exhibition Hall here in Madison for the winter edition of the Big Gay Market. As the name implies, Big Gay Market (whose website will be in the comments below) is an event in Southern Wisconsin, taking place 3-4 times a year, where LGBT-owned or LGBT-allied small businesses sell their crafts, wares, or services to the LGBT community. And, yes, it’s all in a very<\/i> LGBT-friendly environment.<\/p>\n

In the Exhibition Hall lobby, Big Gay Market set up a holiday-themed photo station where guests can take photos or GIF files of themselves. Yes, I took a couple<\/a> of photo strips and e-mailed them to myself. In this strip I’m holding to a disco ball and a small Pride flag.<\/p>\n

While 2025 has been a rough year (and an especially rough one for me personally), it felt good to have a little fun as Allison in December \u2014 and, yeah, also put a big financial dent on my credit card (man<\/a>, were my arms tired from all the purchases I carried to my car).<\/p>\n

I sincerely hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe Christmas Day (or whatever holiday you may be celebrating).<\/p>\n
