After making love to a woman<\/a> and loving it, gay<\/a> man<\/a> decides he\u2019s still gay<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never been ashamed to speak openly about my sexuality or my feelings and I don\u2019t shy away from talking about my private life,\u201d gay<\/a> comedian Andy West<\/a>\u00a0writes in an article published by Gay Times<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0\u201cbut I\u2019ve found myself in a situation where something might come out about me that is kind of weird and misleading.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Rather than risk that happening, West has decided to lay it all out there in an\u00a0op-ed appropriately titled\u00a0I\u2019ve finally had straight sex<\/a> and I loved it!<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI am gay<\/a>,\u201d West explains. \u201cI came out when I was 18 and I\u2019ve never hidden it or shied away from it since. But recently, I\u2019ve been struggling with a secret.\u00a0<\/span>It happened kind of recently. I was out. I\u2019d had a few drinks and I met a girl<\/a> I knew at the bar.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

They had a few drinks,\u00a0shared some laughs, took some selfies, and the next thing West knew it was morning and \u201cwe woke up next to each other in bed. Naked.<\/em>\u201c<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe looked at each other, uncomfortably at first and then she asked, \u2018did we have sex<\/a> last night?\u2019 \u2018Yeah,\u2019 I said, tucking the quilt under my leg to make sure we weren\u2019t touching.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, this isn\u2019t terribly surprising to us. With more and more straight guys<\/a> opening up about their same-sex sexual experiences<\/a>, it makes sense that gay<\/a> guys<\/a> would do the same. And West agrees\u00a0that gay<\/a> men<\/a> sleep with women<\/a> all the time, but the whole thing is still weird to him.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe majority of my friends have done it in the past,\u201d he says. \u201cBut that\u2019s just it. In the past.<\/i> They all did it before <\/i>they were living a happy gay<\/a> life. Why did I do it after<\/i>? And, more confusingly\u2026why did I enjoy it so much?\u201d<\/p>\n

The situation has thrown him for a complete loop.<\/p>\n
