Franklin Graham\u2019s Call for Boycott of Disney over Gay \u2018Beauty and the Beast\u2019 Character Goes Viral<\/b><\/p>\n

Franklin Graham,\u00a0the NC-based son of evangelical\u00a0preacher Billy Graham and president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, has called for a Christian boycott of Disney over its gay<\/a>\u00a0Beauty and the Beast<\/em>\u00a0character and a new cartoon that features same-sex<\/a> kissing.<\/p>\n

\"LeFouEarlier this week news broke that Disney\u2019s first-ever\u00a0\u201cexclusively gay moment\u201d was set to make history<\/a> in the upcoming live<\/a>-action Beauty and the Beast and that it would come from Josh Gad\u2019s character LeFou.<\/p>\n

Graham\u2019s post<\/a> has been shared on Facebook nearly 100,000 times as of this posting.<\/p>\n

Wrote Graham:<\/p>\n

Disney has aired a cartoon with same-sex<\/a> couples<\/a> kissing. It has also been announced that their new movie \u201cBeauty and the Beast\u201d will feature a gay<\/a> character in an attempt to normalize this lifestyle. They\u2019re trying to push the LGBT agenda into the hearts and minds of your children\u2014watch out! Disney has the right to make their cartoons, it\u2019s a free country. But as Christians we also have the right not to support their company. I hope Christians everywhere will say no to Disney. I met Walt Disney when I was a young boy<\/a>\u2014he was very gracious to me, my father Billy Graham, and my younger brother when we visited. He would be shocked at what has happened to the company that he started.<\/p>\n

A theater in Alabama announced this week<\/a> that it was dropping Beauty and the Beast<\/em> from its screening schedule because, said its owner, \u201cIf I can\u2019t sit through a movie with God or Jesus sitting by me then we have no business showing it.\u201d<\/p>\n

And the AFA\u2019s subgroup One Million Moms also clutched its pearls and shrieked<\/a> at the thought of gay<\/a> people in movies, calling for Disney to stop depicting reality.<\/p>\n
