Twitter wasted no time popping off after Trump revokes trans<\/a> student protections<\/b><\/p>\n

The Trump Administration last night rescinded protections for transgender students<\/a> made in the Obama era, and people are pissed.<\/p>\n

The Obama protections allowed trans<\/a> students to use the bathrooms and locker rooms that matched their gender identity. So one month into Trump\u2019s presidency, the lives of some of the most vulnerable American citizens\u00a0\u2014 young trans<\/a> students \u2014 are being directly harmed.<\/p>\n

It didn\u2019t take long for a tidal wave of disgust to wash over social media. Ellen DeGeneres summed it up succinctly: \u201cThis isn\u2019t about politics. It\u2019s about human rights, and it\u2019s not okay.\u201d<\/p>\n
