When Donald Trump was named\u00a0Time Magazine\u2019s<\/em> \u2018person of the year\u2019, he used it as an opportunity to gloat. The irony, of course, was that being \u2018person of the year\u2019 is not necessarily a compliment, and upon further inspection, even the cover photo held clues<\/a> that Trump\u2019s impending presidency was doomed.<\/p>\n

Still, that didn\u2019t stop him from counting it among his\u00a0many<\/em> successes in life.<\/p>\n

A Politico<\/em> journalist\u00a0even caught him\u00a0with a stack of his \u2018person of the year\u2019 magazines on his desk, suggesting then President-elect Trump was handing them out as victory calling cards<\/p>\n

A cartoonist might get the subject to react, to animate, hold on and grimace in the face of the wind. I saw it more as a dead pan look at us. In paintings, it is the contrast that creates the interest, in this case, the calm and the chaos.\u201d<\/p>\n
