Man wonders if he should tell his lying ex-lover\u2019s wife that he slept with him<\/b><\/p>\n

A U.K. man<\/a> is grappling with whether to tell his ex-lover\u2019s wife that he\u2019s been sleeping with her husband, or if he should simply walk away, so he\u2019s seeking help<\/a>\u00a0from advice guru\u00a0Coleen Nolan.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a gay<\/a> man<\/a> in my mid-thirties and, for a few months, I was sleeping with a straight married guy<\/a>, who\u2019s a few years older and has a child with his wife,\u201d the man<\/a>\u2019s letter begins.<\/p>\n

He\u00a0goes on to say that he \u201creally fancied\u201d the guy<\/a> and found the whole thing very \u201cexciting\u201d in the beginning.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut then it became stressful having to sneak around,\u201d he says, \u201cand I actually started to feel very bad for his wife.\u201d<\/p>\n

His guilt only increased when he went over to the guys<\/a> house for a booty call<\/a> while his wife and child were out of town.<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw all these happy family photos and felt so bad that I was sleeping with her husband in her bed and she knew nothing about it,\u201d he says. \u201cI had to ask myself what kind of guy<\/a> I was involved with.\u201d<\/p>\n

On top of that, he says, \u201cI used to hear him on the phone lying to her about where he was when he\u2019d just been having sex<\/a> with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not the first guy<\/a> he\u2019s cheated on his wife with,\u201d he continues, \u201cand I\u2019m sure I won\u2019t be the last.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now he wonders: Should he tell the wife so she can escape \u201cthis sham of a marriage and find happiness with someone else\u201d or is should he simply walk away?<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m torn between wanting to see him get his comeuppance or just walking away and leaving them to it,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

Coleen\u2019s advice: Leave it alone.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a small chance she knows he lives a double life and chooses to turn a blind eye to it,\u201d she writes in her response. \u201cI\u2019ve known people in that situation.\u201d<\/p>\n

On top of that, she says,\u00a0\u201cif she doesn\u2019t know anything, yes you\u2019d get some kind of revenge on this guy<\/a> by telling his wife\u2013if revenge is what you\u2019re after\u2013but you\u2019d also shatter her life and it wouldn\u2019t make you feel any better.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the end of the day, Coleen believes the husband is \u201cliving in denial\u201d and\u00a0\u201ctaking huge risks.\u201d Sooner or later, that\u2019s going to catch up with him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m pretty sure it\u2019ll come out at some point and his wife will, sadly, have to deal with it,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, Coleen writes, \u201cyou shouldn\u2019t have got involved with a married man<\/a>, but you have to move on and learn from it, and not put yourself in that position again. Focus on finding a single man<\/a> \u2013 there are plenty of them out there.\u201d<\/p>\n
