1.\u00a0The trailer for out actress Kristen Stewart\u2019s new movie Personal Shopper<\/em><\/a> has been released. The film is about a personal shopper in Paris, trying to make contact with her dead twin brother. It is set to open in theaters March 10th<\/sup>. Kristen Stewart also starred in Saturday Night Live<\/em> this past weekend. Take a look at her Totino\u2019s Pizza Rolls sketch<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\"\"2.\u00a0Protagonist Pictures has sold the Sundance film God\u2019s Own Country<\/em><\/a> to France, Australia\/New Zealand, Benelux, and Scandinavia. The movie stars Josh O\u2019Conner and Alex Secareanu, and is about a sheep farmer and a Romanian migrant worker who fall in love. A UK deal with the film is to be announced soon, and is also set to premiere at the Berlin Film Festival. Additionally, The new Amazon Studios film, Lost Girls<\/em>, will star out actress Sarah Paulson<\/a>. The film is based on the real-life craigslist serial killer. Eva Green and Gemma Arterton will also star in Vita & Virginia<\/em><\/a>, a true story based on Virginia Woolf\u2019s and Vita Sackville-West\u2019s love affair together. The documentary film State of Marriage<\/em> will also be released on DVD February 14th<\/sup><\/a>.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0A trailer has recently been released for Hot to Trot<\/em><\/a>, a documentary about same-sex<\/a> ballroom dancing. The film takes a look at the world of same-sex<\/a> ballroom dance competitions, their work to stop the idea of gendered roles in dance, and lets the audience into the dancer\u2019s personal lives. There is not yet any information about distribution for Hot to Trot<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

4. Netflix dropped a ton of news, teasers, and premiere dates this week! The series adaptation of film Dear White People<\/em> will premiere April 28th<\/sup><\/a>. Orange is the New Black<\/em> will return June 9<\/a>, Grace and Frankie <\/em>will return March 24<\/a>, and out comedian and actress Kate McKinnon has been announced as the new voice Ms. Frizzle on the Magic School Bus<\/em><\/a> reboot. A role she has taken over from Lily Tomlin who voice Frizzle on the original TV series. Additionally, Netflix has renewed The OA<\/em><\/a> for a second season.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\"\"5.\u00a0Greg Berlanti is expanding his DC Universe on The CW<\/a>, as the network has ordered a pilot of Black Lightning<\/em>. In other news, Vanessa Morgan is joining the cast of The Shannara Chronicles<\/em><\/a>. Morgan has been casted as Lyria, a character who is in a romantic relationship with Eretria (Ivana Baquero). ABC has also ordered a new pilot from out Fresh Off the Boat<\/em> creator Nahnatchka Khan<\/a>. In other TV news, Orphan Black<\/em>, is set to return for its fifth and final season<\/a> June 10th<\/sup> on BBC America.<\/p>\n

6. A new off-Broadway play, Boys of a Certain Age<\/em>, opened on February 8th<\/sup> at New York\u2019s Theaterlab. The play follows four gay<\/a>, Jewish men<\/a> and explores life under Donald Trump. The play runs till February 25th<\/sup>, tickets are $25 and can be purchased here<\/a>. 7. The webseries Real Adult<\/em> has launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign<\/a>. The series follows a group of friends in Philadelphia, who are diverse in race and sexuality. They have all recently graduated college and are trying to figure out adult life, which ends up being more difficult than they anticipated.\u00a0 Find out more at the Real Adult crowdfunding page.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
