<\/a><\/p>\nThis week in New Music: Swedish sad-pop star\u00a0Jens Lekman<\/strong>\u00a0(above) is on fine form on latest track \u201cEvening Prayer,\u201d\u00a0Missy Elliott\u00a0<\/strong>returns with \u201cI\u2019m Better,\u201d\u00a0The Cranberries<\/strong> announce a new acoustic album and Irish duo\u00a0All Tvvins<\/strong> channel classic 80s indie\u00a0rock on debut album\u00a0IIVV<\/em>.<\/p>\n Jens Lekman \u2013 \u201cEvening Prayer\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n The follow up to 2012\u2019s (honestly, slightly lackluster) <\/span>I Know What Love Isn\u2019t<\/span><\/i>, based on single \u201cEvening Prayer\u201d Lekman has regained some of the indie pop carefree tweeness of his earlier work.<\/span><\/p>\n A press release says <\/span>Life Will See You Now<\/span><\/i> \u201cinverts pop\u2019s writing norm by making songs with sad concerns sound happy and songs with a happy subject sound sad.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n Yup, that\u2019s what he does. \u00a0See \u201cThe Opposite of Hallelujah.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Missy Elliott \u2013 \u201cI\u2019m Better\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n Is a new album on the horizon?<\/span><\/p>\n Don\u2019t know.<\/span><\/p>\n Hopefully?<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n The Cranberries Announce New Album<\/strong><\/p>\n Putting (alleged) differences behind them and following on from 2012 album <\/span>Roses<\/span><\/i>, Irish rock quartet and 90s legends <\/span>The Cranberries<\/b> have announced a new European tour to coincide with a new \u201cunplugged.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n No details for the album yet but <\/span>it is known<\/span><\/i> that it will include three new songs along with orchestral re-workings of some of their biggest hits including \u201cLinger\u201d and \u201cZombie.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The tour also includes some dates in Mexico.<\/span><\/p>\n Details of all dates <\/span>here<\/b><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n All Tvvins \u2013 <\/b>IIVV<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n Conor Adams and Lar Kaye have been part of the Irish music scene, Kaye mostly being known for his work with post rock act <\/span>Adebisi Shank<\/b>, Adams for the less-than-successful but formidable <\/span>Cast of Cheers<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n With All Tvvins the duo have a plan \u2013 proper indie rock aimed at actual commercial success.<\/span><\/p>\n What we have here is ten songs over 37 minutes that are sparse and highly efficient. \n<\/a>Well now, there\u2019s a turn up for the books as former queen of hip hop Missy Elliott\u00a0<\/strong>resurfaces with \u201cI\u2019m Better,\u201d a follow up to 2015\u2019s \u201cETF\u201d and 2016\u2019s \u201cPep Rally.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
