Melania is said to be particularly upset about a joke comedian Chelsea Handler made to\u00a0Variety<\/em>\u00a0in a recent video interview<\/a>\u00a0when she claimed the First Lady \u201ccan barely speak English,\u201d then followed up with the tweet<\/a>, \u201cBlink if you need help @MELANIATRUMP.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Trump family\u2019s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, issued a statement this week on\u00a0Melania\u2019s behalf, saying\u00a0\u201cShame on Chelsea Handler for attacking our first lady<\/a> in such a despicable manner!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t be fooled by her accent,\u201d Cohen\u00a0added. \u201cMelania is bright and articulate. To be clear, our first lady<\/a> speaks multiple languages, I believe five. How many languages do you<\/em> speak, Chelsea?\u201d<\/p>\n

Insiders say\u00a0Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who helped coordinate Trump\u2019s inauguration events, including that kickass performance by Three Doors Down, has been\u00a0tapped as Melania\u2019s chief strategist and is currently\u00a0interviewing candidates for the First Lady\u2019s chief of staff, communications chief, and social secretary.<\/p>\n
