Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 25, 2017<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n However, the researcher who produced the data suspected of being behind Trump\u2019s assertions, says his data was wrong, CNN reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n Brian Schaffner, a political scientist at the University of Massachusetts, told CNN\u2019s Wolf Blitzer on \u201cThe Situation Room\u201d Tuesday his study on voter fraud that is apparently being cited by the White House did not support the President\u2019s conclusions\u2026.<\/p>\n White House press secretary Sean Spicer did not say expressly on Tuesday which study Trump has read to support his claim of 3 to 5 million illegally cast votes, but a 2014 study by Jesse Richman and David Earnest found more than 14% of non-citizens in 2008 and 2010 \u201cindicated that they were registered to vote.\u201d<\/p>\n The study was designed by Schaffner\u2019s Cooperative Congressional Election Study, but he told Blitzer that he and his colleagues spoke with voters who had self-identified themselves as \u201cnon-citizens\u201d and discovered that they had all mistakenly clicked the wrong radio button during the survey \u2014 and they were all actually citizens.<\/p>\n PS, we also have\u00a0this to look forward to (not):<\/p>\n I will be making my Supreme Court pick on Thursday of next week.Thank you!<\/p>\n \u2014 Donald J.
