<\/a><\/p>\nDonald Trump, who lied to congressional leaders\u00a0that 3-5 million\u00a0illegal ballots cost him the popular vote in November\u2019s election, is apparently\u00a0sticking to that false claim, as his Press Secretary Sean Spicer<\/a>, despite it being widely discredited.<\/p>\n Spicer was grilled about the assertion in today\u2019s press briefing by CNN\u2019s Jeff Zeleny.<\/p>\n \u201cI wonder if you believe that,\u201d Zeleny asked Spicer. \u201cDo you believe there was widespread voter fraud?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cListen, my job is not, look.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHow can he be comfortable with his win, if he believes it was three million votes. Maybe he didn\u2019t win,\u201d asked Zeleny.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s very comfortable with his win,\u201d Spicer replied. \u201cIt\u2019s an electoral based system. He got 306 electoral votes. 33 of 50 states voted for him. I\u2019ve asked and answered this question twice. He believes based on the information that has been provided.\u201d<\/p>\n As Spicer moved on, Zeleny kept at him. \u201cWhat does that mean for democracy, though, Sean.
