It\u2019s confusing when we see wrestlers in the referee position, a starting position in which one wrestler is on top grabbing the bottom wrestler\u2019s waist, the bottom wrestler on all fours.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/queerty-prodweb.s3.amazonaws.com\/content\/docs\/2016\/12\/23140729\/Queerty_Ben_McNutt_02.jpg\" alt=\"0026\" width=\"650\" height=\"2000\"><\/p>\n<p>While a student\u00a0at\u00a0Maryland Institute College of Art, McNutt began\u00a0hoarding a massive amount of wrestling memorabilia: stamps, newspaper clippings, singlets, headgear, wrestling shoes, drawings, stickers, buttons, and photos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related:\u00a0<a Singlet For A Day<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI dedicated my free time to attending wrestling events and reading books about the sport,\u201d he says. \u201cI began a training regimen to better understand the physical components of wrestling and alter my own physique.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/queerty-prodweb.s3.amazonaws.com\/content\/docs\/2016\/12\/23140739\/Queerty_Ben_McNutt_04.jpg\" alt=\"Wrestling\" width=\"650\" height=\"2000\"><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy work stands as a part of a larger body that chronicles the human fascination with the athletic form,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>However, my use of photography extends this conversation by intentionally framing our perspective.<\/p>\n<p>In doing so, our impressions, responses, and desires become inseparable from the subjects in the photographs.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/queerty-prodweb.s3.amazonaws.com\/content\/docs\/2016\/12\/23140745\/Queerty_Ben_McNutt_05.jpg\" alt=\"0006\" width=\"650\" height=\"2000\"><\/p>\n<p>This July, McNutt has been invited to photograph the Kirkpinar oil wrestling festival in Turkey.<\/p>\n<p>Anything purchased from his <a href=\"http:\/\/benmcnutt.com\/shop\/\" target=\"_blank\">online shop<\/a> \u2014 which features a massive assortment of his wrestling photos \u00a0\u2014 will help finance the trip.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m beyond nervous to get my <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"   href=\"https:\/\/www.flirt4free.com\/live\/girls\/?mp_code=akftr\">butt<\/a> out of my artistic and personal comfort zone,\u201d he says, \u201cbut couldn\u2019t be more thrilled
