<\/a><\/p>\nJennifer Holliday sat down with the women<\/a> of The View<\/em> to talk about her decision to withdraw from performing at Trump\u2019s inauguration.<\/p>\n Joy Behar asked Holliday what her\u00a0lapse in judgment.<\/p>\n Said Holliday:<\/p>\n \u201cThe lapse of judgment was\u00a0that I didn\u2019t realize that people weren\u2019t really over the election. I guess things started back up again. You start remembering things and the fires start burning\u2026the people have not finished with this. They want to get it all out\u2026.I missed all of that.\u201d<\/p>\n Holliday\u00a0expressed shock at the threats she received:<\/p>\n \u201cI was receiving death threats from black people\u2026the N word from black people who said they were gonna kill me\u2026.it did take people to point out to me why they felt it was the wrong decision.\u201d<\/p>\n She also explained what finally changed her mind:<\/p>\n \u201cThe gay<\/a> community since Dreamgirls<\/em> for 35 years has been faithfully there for me. The article in The Daily Beast they threw my own words back to me \u2013 and I\u2019m not a liar or a hypocrite.
