Said Aguiar, who is bisexual<\/a>,<\/p>\n “Bi people have issues that we’re faced with every day, as individuals and as a community. But the thing is, most people out there don’t know that. Not even a lot of bi<\/a> people know just how bad the situation is for members of my community. I’ve been making bi<\/a> videos<\/a> for a little over two years now. Since then, I’ve also gotten pretty involved with the bi<\/a> community at large and had the pleasure of working with a bunch of various bi<\/a> groups, and yet even I didn’t know how bad the situation was until recently.”<\/p>\n Aguiar explains that, when compared with their gay<\/a>, lesbian<\/a> and straight peers, bi<\/a> people face a higher risk of assault and sexual violence, suffer higher rates of discrimination, are more likely to live<\/a> in poverty, and are more likely to suffer mental health issues and physical health issues.<\/p>\n Also, bi<\/a> people actually make up the largest portion of the LGBT+ population.
