#LeanInTogether And Getty Images Team Up To Show What Fatherhood Actually Looks Like<\/b>
\nStock photos used to illustrate online articles are meant to reflect everyday life. Ironically, they rarely do<\/a>. Getty Images<\/a> and LeanIn.Org<\/a> have a plan to change that.<\/p>\n

With the launch of #LeanInTogether<\/a> — a campaign that encourages men<\/a> to help women<\/a> in the fight for gender equality — Getty Images and LeanIn.Org<\/a> have partnered to bring realistic stock photos of men<\/a> to online editors, and therefore readers. <\/p>\n

The Huffington Post spoke with Sheryl Sandberg about the impact diverse photos could have, and what she hopes the series will achieve. “You can’t be what you can’t see,” she said. “So having men<\/a> see active pictures of themselves and other men<\/a> as fathers, as people supporting people at work — I think it’s inspiring.”<\/p>\n

Instead of endless photos of white guys in suits<\/a> — or any other ridiculous and cliche portrayals<\/a> we so often see<\/a> in stock photos<\/a> — the #LeanInTogether shows a different side of fatherhood and masculinity. <\/p>\n

“I think people want to do the right thing, they want to portray women<\/a> the right way, they want to portray men<\/a> the right way but we often don’t know how,” Sandberg said. “Getty is saying here is a portrayal of women<\/a> and men<\/a> that Lean In supports and that we support. And similarly, men<\/a> are saying here’s a portrayal of what I believe as a man<\/a> and that this is good for men<\/a>.” <\/p>\n
