While there, the LGBTQ ally and outspoken critic of Donald Trump met with a number of lawmakers and politicos. Including… Senator Ted Cruz???<\/p>\n

The antigay Texas Republican tweeted a picture of himself with Evans, along with the caption: “Just sat down for an interview w\/ ⁦<\/span>@ChrisEvans. <\/span>Really nice guy<\/a>. Caroline came up to DC to meet him. Almost nothing in the Senate impresses an 11-year old; introducing her to Captain America was pretty awesome!”<\/span><\/p>\n

Evans told Wired<\/em> last month that he co-founded “A Starting Point” after finding himself confused when trying to understand the political news of the day.
